The Royal National College for the Blind has a long and proud history of delivering academic and vocational qualifications to students who are visually impaired and we offer a range of AS and A2 Levels, BTEC, NVQ and some additional GCSE subjects.
What ever your academic level, we have courses and qualifications to suit you and if you are unsure, then don’t worry, we will work with you at a pre entry assessment to find the best range of courses and training that will help you to achieve your goals and ambitions.
Your entitlement as a student
Regardless of the course you decide to study, RNC will also offer you individual support to help ensure you reach your targets and goals.
We call this your 'core entitlement' and it means that you will be allocated a team of professionals to support your academic or vocational progress, your personal and social development and to support your residential, medical and wellbeing needs.
You will also be able to access specialist training and support to help you develop your Independent Living Skills and Mobility, Literacy and Numeracy, ICT skills, Braille and Braille Technology and Key Life Skills.

The foundation programme is a blend of academic, vocational and practical activities and offers a suite of qualifications which are designed to explore opportunities and develop new skills whilst gaining confidence. This flexible approach to learning is individually tailored and you can study towards individual units or a full qualification at different levels.
