Make a donation

If you would like to support RNC by making a donation, please consider the following easy ways you could help us continue to Build Brighter Futures...

Donate online

Make an instant, secure donation through our pages on Charity Choice or Justgiving.com.

These services are fast and reliable and you can increase the amount RNC receives without increasing the amount you spend, by selecting to Gift Aid your donation.

Donate by phone or post

Simply call the RNC Fundraising team on 01432 376372, send a cheque (payable to RNC) or
download a donation form here to print and post . Our Freepost address is:

The Royal National College for the Blind
FREEPOST SWC4616
College Road
Hereford
HR1 1ZZ

Donate while you shop

RNC has a shopping portal - www.buy.at/RNC. It is a virtual shopping mall, a gateway to hundreds of high street and specialist online shops, from Amazon to Zurich Insurance.

By beginning your online shopping trip at the portal, you will be making sure RNC receives commission on each transaction you go on to make. This is at no extra cost to you whatsoever, and we will not receive any information about who made the transaction or what was purchased.

Even better, many participating retailers offer exclusive discounts to Buy.at users.

Don't miss out - make the RNC portal page your homepage today!

Make a regular donation

Support the Building Brighter Futures Appeal by setting up a regular standing order.
It’s easy to do – simply download the donation form here, print it out and post it with your instructions to the RNC Fundraising team.

Another option is to set up a regular payment direct from your wages. All you need to do is speak to your employer’s payroll department and ask them about setting up a Give As You Earn payment to RNC. Visit www.gearedforgiving.com for more information.

Share Giving

Share giving can be one of the most tax effective ways of donating to RNC because charitable gifts of shares are free from capital gains tax and individuals can claim income tax relief on the value of the donated shares. This tax relief applies no matter what the total value of the shares.

Simply complete a stock transfer form (available direct from RNC’s Fundraising team on 01432 376372 or through the Registrar who acts for the company in which you have shares) and send it with the share certificates you would like to donate to:

The Royal National College for the Blind, College Road, Hereford HR1 1EB.

Making your memories count

Making a gift in memory of someone special allows friends and family to celebrate the life of a loved one by donating to a cause close to their heart. By making a gift to RNC you can help us continue to provide outstanding opportunities to people who are blind or partially sighted.

There are many ways you can remember someone.
  • If you are arranging a funeral or memorial service for a loved one, you may wish to ask friends and relatives to donate to charity instead of buying flowers.
  • You can also remember a special person through a straightforward donation direct to a charity.
  • Alternatively, you could start an online In Memory fund with our partner website justgiving.com. Friends and family can visit your unique web page, leave a donation and message, and the money raised will be forwarded to the College. Our justgiving In Memoriam page is www.justgiving.com/rncfb/remember
No matter how small or large your gift, if you decide to offer it to RNC we will ensure it is used wisely in memory of your loved one. We will also recognise and record the gift publicly at the College.

 We are here to help

If you need our support to help remember your loved one, please call us on 01432 376387 or email info@rncfundraising.org.uk

Leave a gift to RNC

Throughout its history the College has been honoured to have received support from people who have remembered RNC in their Wills. Valuable legacy gifts have enabled individual students to benefit from scholarships and bursaries, they have provided specialist equipment for teaching and training, and they have contributed to the continued improvement of the College's offering.

To find out more about how you could help RNC provide the very best further education and training to future generations of students, please visit our Remember RNC page.

Celebrate with a gift

Perhaps you would like to celebrate a special occasion – a wedding anniversary or birthday for instance – by asking your family and friends to make a donation to the Building Brighter Futures Appeal instead of buying a gift. You could collect the donations and send them in to us, or set up your own fundraising web page at www.justgiving.com - simply select The Royal National College for the Blind as the charity you would like to support.

Volunteering

Do you have a talent you’d like to share?

RNC welcomes volunteers from all sectors of the community. We currently have members of the public providing our business and enterprise departments with professional advice; there are volunteer readers helping students sit exams, and others inspiring them to take up new and exciting extra-curricular activities, and we have the Friends of RNC, who help the Fundraising team. We can always welcome more!

If you would like to donate your time and expertise in a professional capacity, or come and do something out of the ordinary to help people affected by sight loss, we would love to hear from you.

Please contact the Fundraising team on 01432 376372, or email us at info@rncfundraising.org.uk, or select Volunteering to find out more.

Corporate sponsorship

Become a corporate supporter of the College - we have a variety of sponsorship packages where you and your company could benefit through supporting our learners, our prestigious developments or any of the significant regional, national and international events being staged at the College over the coming years.

Whether your company would like to sponsor a specialist teaching facility or play a part in a major event such as the World Blind Football Championships in 2010, please contact our External Relations Manager, Heidi Macdougall on 01432 376390 or heidi.macdougall@rncb.ac.uk to find out more.
