RNC are champions of Europe once again!
The RNC Blind Football team has once again demonstrated its dominance in European blind football, clinching the European Blind Football League (EBFL) title for the second consecutive year, in a thrilling conclusion in Dortmund at the weekend (Saturday 7 June 2025).

The day's competition began with Italian side Quartotempo Firenze at the top of the league table, seemingly with the title within their grasp. However, their campaign stumbled early with a goalless draw against host team Borussia Dortmund, opening a crucial window of opportunity for their rivals.
Seizing this chance, RNC executed Coach Adam Bendall's strategy flawlessly in their opening fixture. A resounding 6-1 victory over Cécifoot Charleroi perfectly set the stage for a dramatic winner-takes-all title decider against Firenze.

The final match lived up to its billing. RNC needing only a draw to secure the title, but went one better, delivering a decisive 2-1 victory over Firenze [RNC goalscorers: Azeem Amir, Eesa Amid]. This triumph not only denied Firenze their anticipated title but also solidified RNC's position as the undisputed champions, winning the league outright on points.

Head Coach, Adam Bendall, said:
'I'm incredibly proud of the lads. To win this title once is special, but to defend it against a team as talented as Quartotempo Firenze, and go on to win it in the final game of the season, shows the immense character and skill we have in this squad. We dug deep, showed incredible resilience, and ultimately, our hard work paid off. Thanks to every single player in the squad and to the coaching staff who contributed to our success throughout the season. Two in a row – what a feeling!'
