How to make a referral for an adult student - advice for Disability Employment Advisors
· Encourage your client to visit RNC informally and learn more about our facilities, courses and resources. Contact us on 01432 376621 or e-mail our Student Enquiries via info@rncb.ac.uk.
· Request a copy of our latest prospectus and our application form. Send completed application for to us.
· Send the following completed documents to the Residential Training Unit [RTU] offices in Newcastle upon Tyne for approval:
(1) Residential Training Unit Application Form – Part 1 and Part 2
(2) Referral Form [REF2JP]
(3) General Practitioner/Consultant form [DP2]
(4) Any additional information you consider to be relevant to this application [e.g. Social Services report]
(5) Residential Training Checklist
· If the funding referral is approved by RTU, your client will receive a copy of the funding letter.
· We will contact your client and arrange for them to come to RNC for their pre-entry assessment.
· We will let you and your client know the outcome of the pre-entry assessment within 10 working days and if you client accepts our offer, we will be in contact with them to discuss their travel and start date.
