Understanding the Needs of Customers and Employees who are Blind or Partially Sighted
RNC offers training for employers in ways to recruit, support the employment of and retain employees who are visually impaired as well as developing access to new markets and customer groups. The course includes: visual awareness, disability issues, signage, assisting customers and disability discrimination legislation.
Q. If a blind customer came onto your premises and asked for assistance, would you know how to act and what to do?
Q. If a customer with a visual impairment asked for your brochure in braille, large print or in audio, could you provide this?
Q. Do you know what 'reasonable adjustments' you can take to satisfy the Disability Discrimination Act?
Q. If one of your staff suffered sight loss, would you know what to do to help them retain their job?

Let RNC help you with the answers to these questions. We have designed full and half-day courses especially for businesses and organisations, who have limited knowledge of visual impairment.
The session will introduce you to:
