Personal Fitness Plan

As a new member you will be entitled to your own personal fitness plan. This is a simple process and consists of the following:

The Starting Point

   Tour of the Centre
•    Introduction to the gym
    A lifestyle analysis
•    Health checks/fitness testing
   Short and long term goal setting

The Focus Point

   Specific programme setting
•    Establish check points to monitor progress
   Follow up between 1 - 10 days after programme setting
   Programme reviews every 4 - 6 weeks
   Review of health checks/fitness testing  

 Or choose from some of our group fitness and relaxation classes 

Whether you want to shape up and tone or increase strength and flexibility we’ve got the class for you. You don’t even have to be a member of thePoint4 to take part as classes are also available to the public.


 Abdominal Blitz – The fastest way to a flat stomach!

Activate your abdominal muscles and get your core burning. Teach your body to ‘switch on’ your abs with other movements so whether you are lifting bags of shopping, carrying children or running to catch the bus, you’ll always be working your abs. Class time 45mins


 Aerobic Tone – Shape up and tone

Combine rhythmic aerobic exercise with stretching and strength training routines, improving all elements of fitness (flexibility, muscular strength and cardio-vascular fitness). Class time 60mins


Body Blast – Transform your body with the ‘total body workout’

Total body conditioning with easy to follow moves, allowing you to burn at least 500 calories per class. Enjoy a cardio workout together with an effective toning session with resistance. Set to fantastic music, you won't be able to stop moving. Class time 45mins


Boxercise® / Cardio-Box – Fun, energetic and addictive!

The best stress buster around and one of the most effective forms of cross-training. It combines both aerobic and anaerobic energy systems ensuring an intense and diverse workout. Enhance your sports specific senses, including hand-eye co-ordination, balance and timing. Class time 60mins


 Circuits – Improve all aspects of your physical ability and appearance

A total-body workout that involves both strength and cardio training exercises. High intensity but highly enjoyable type of training. Join in and challenge yourself! Class time 60mins


Fitball – Fun and friendly class suitable for all levels of fitness

Improve your posture and balance whilst working your core stabilizers and other muscles during this safe and effective way of training. Fitball will help strengthen the core muscles: abs, hips, lower back and the thighs and may also involve adding resistance to advance your workout. Class time 45mins


Dynamic Flow Yoga – Complementing other sports, health and well-being

Ease tension while supporting your strength, stamina, concentration and relaxation. This 10-week course will build knowledge of yoga practice. The sequence is Hatha Yoga - the basis for all styles of yoga, and the postures include breathing and gentle stretching to warm the body; standing postures to promote balance and increase heart rate; floor postures with spinal and core strength focus. Class time 90mins


Hot Yoga - Exclusive to thePoint4! Tone lean mass and lose inches

A fantastic unique total body experience performed in 80-90 degree heat; imagine exercising on a warm summer day . Offering the chance to benefit physically and mentally. This class will encourage relaxation, healing of injuries, increasing your flexibility and strength and will reduce muscle soreness post workout. Class time 75/90mins 


Legs, Bums & Tums - This class does exactly what it says on the tin

The most annoying body areas for most women, and the hardest places from which to shift the fat! . Work on toning up the legs, bum and stomach area. Suitable for all ages and levels of fitness, incorporating both standing and floor work. Class time 45mins


Pilates- Work against your own body weight

Pilates is built around eight principles: relaxation, co-ordination, alignment, stamina, concentration, centering, breathing and flow. Overall awareness of your body can be achieved through Pilates and help you in everyday life to move freely without pain or tension. A great class for every level of ability – Class time 45mins


Tabata - Turn the body into a fat-burning super engine! ‘

The best super-aerobic cardio workout around. Work the body through the whole range of total-body exercises with high repetitions and minimal rest periods, creating high intensity workouts for those that like to work! Class time 60mins
